Privacy Policy

We collect only what's necessary to make No Story Please work. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't track you across the web. Your recipes are yours.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile photo. This is used solely to authenticate you and personalize your experience.

Recipe Data

When you extract a recipe, we process the URL you provide to fetch and parse the recipe content. We store your extraction history and saved recipes in your account so you can access them later. We do not store the full content of third-party recipe pages.

Usage Data

We track basic usage metrics such as the number of extractions to enforce free tier limits. We use PostHog for product analytics (page views, feature usage, conversion funnels) and Sentry for error tracking. Neither service receives your recipe content or personal data beyond what is necessary for their function.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your full credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data in compliance with PCI DSS standards. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your plan.

We share data only with services strictly necessary to operate No Story Please:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Stores your account information, saved recipes, and extraction history.Their privacy policy
• Google OAuth — if you choose to sign in with Google. We only receive your name, email, and profile photo. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or any other Google data.
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — we use Claude to help parse and extract recipe data from web pages. The URL content is sent for processing but is not stored by Anthropic beyond the API request.
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Handles all credit card data securely. We only receive your customer ID and subscription status.Their privacy policy
• PostHog — product analytics. Tracks page views and feature usage to help us improve the service. Does not track you across other websites.Their privacy policy
• Sentry — error tracking. Captures application errors so we can fix bugs quickly. Does not collect personal data beyond error context.Their privacy policy
• Netlify — our hosting provider. Handles serving the application and serverless functions.

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties. Period.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security policies, meaning each user can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store passwords directly — authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with industry-standard encryption.

You can at any time:

• Access all your stored data through your dashboard
• Delete individual recipes or your entire extraction history
• Delete your account entirely by contacting us
• Export your saved recipes

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party cookie-based analytics.

No Story Please is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of No Story Please after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
