Cooking Mode
A countertop view designed for the moment your hands are covered in flour. Steps are big, timers run themselves, ingredients tap to check off, and your screen stays on so you don't lose your place mid-knead.

Full-screen, one step at a time
Tap Start cooking and the recipe goes full-screen with a single step in front of you. No sidebar, no comments, no ad rail — just what you need to do next, set in large, legible type.
Swipe or tap Next when you're done. The view follows you forward through the recipe so you never lose your place.
Timers without timers
Any time a step mentions a duration — "simmer for 12 minutes", "rest 15 minutes", "bake 45 to 50 minutes" — Cooking Mode pulls it out and offers a timer in one tap. The timer keeps running even if you switch steps or leave the app.
Multiple timers can run at once for steps that overlap, like a sauce reducing while pasta cooks.
Tap-to-check ingredients
The ingredient panel sits beside or below the active step. Tap one to mark it added — it dims and stays dimmed for the rest of the cook so you can see at a glance what's already in the pot.
Your screen stays awake while Cooking Mode is open, so the recipe doesn't disappear in the middle of a sear.
